MORNING COFFEE, The Big Truth

This session is incredibly useful for marketing teams and an environment that requires an active attitude and demeanor, a big dosage of creativity, and fun. It is recommended that participants know each other well. The session is also suitable when it comes to multiple-day training courses – or on the second day of a team-building event when it is important to increase the group’s curiosity and overall energy. It can be a part of your personal life as well – activities you undertake with friends or family. The advantages of such a session are not only having fun and relaxing, but also facilitating concentration and a strong team spirit.

Tips & Tricks

Where?

It is recommended that you make sure the team activities are going to be conducted in a room different than the workplace. You could use a training room or a bigger meeting room. You should preferably have enough room to work in groups and carry out the games that include movement. In favourable weather conditions, you could conduct the activities outside as well.

Sharing in a circle

Regardless if you are working with the whole group or you have been separated in smaller groups, favour the circle arrangement. Sitting in a circle is going to facilitate trust and transparency.

Reflection

Take 15-20 minutes for sharing and reflection with everyone at the end of the day, after the activities have ended. The facilitator can use some of the following questions: What did today’s experience give you?, What was the biggest surprise? Which activities contributed the most to yourself and the team? How are you feeling right now? What did you learn today? Does anything come to mind that you could do with or for your team?
